Destination Weddings

The golden rule of real estate is location location location, and that does very practically apply surprisingly to many things in life. For weddings, I PERSONALLY believe it is the people you surround yourself with that matters most on your big day. However! The privacy and intimacy that destination weddings provide make them some of my favorites to shoot. And yes of course being in (typically) gorgeous far-off locations is nice too, but I promise that's not the driving factor for me! The people who actually follow you across the world somewhere to get hitched are truly your ride-or-die community. And when you surround yourself with that community and only them for a week/weekend.. well, it's something special. ACTUALLY READ THIS PART..>>

>> You are going to spend a lot of time and money planning this trip. Your best friends and family will all be there and for many, this is the only time your entire community will all manifest in one location. There will be SO MANY special moments, excursions parties etc. and most people only have a photog FOR ONE DAY DURING THE WEDDING?! Don't be like those people. When I shoot destination weddings I come to capture not just the wedding but the entire trip. (or at least the parts you'd want me to that is..)

Here is an example of a suuuuper rad group that went down to Cancun for a friend's wedding. They had a ton of fun stuff planned and one day they had a catamaran booked to take them snorkeling, and diving and then drop them at Isla Mujeras (an island off the coast) for the afternoon. They didn't want to have to worry about phones and other tech getting in the way of being present so I tag along to capture everything and let them have the time of their lives!
